Power Series

Intended Audience: Undergraduates, advanced high-schoolers and high-school teachers interested in showing their students some advanced mathematics.

In this episode we introduce power series and have a brief discussion about some of their properties.

A power series is a function of the form

f(z) = \sum_{n=0}^\infty a_n z^n,

where the coefficients are complex numbers. We discuss basic issues like convergence of series in general and radii of convergence for power series.  We also discuss some examples.
